If you know me, you know I am normally not a silver and diamond kind of gal...
You would also know that for the last year I have been following a dream... Becoming
a better horseman and being able to do it for a living.  I have been working with
Dennis Reis' Universal Horsemanship home study course.   Last May I completed my
12 endorsements in his course which got me an invitation to go to his ranch in CA last
summer..
I started this journey with Maggi, my 8 yr old mare, a once wild Mustang.  When she
got injured last winter I turned to Ahab a 7 yr old mustang gelding to fill in for her.
This summer I was back on Mags.

Now the first 12 endorsements are from 3 courses.  There is also a 4th course,
Horseman's Course.  This is a very elite class and only a handful of horseman have
been able to achieve this level using the home study course.  Well Sat. nite Oct. 20th
at Lyons, KS,  Mags and I reach this level by passing our 13th endorsement.

What this means is, I had to round pen Maggi without a round pen or halter while
other horses were roaming around the arena where we were working.  She had to
stick to me like glue while at total freedom (so Mags was free to go where she
wanted) while walking, trotting & cantering as well a several other tasks.... Remember
this is a once wild Mustang,
She did it.... I was facing her when I heard Dennis behind me "well she has a buckle
with a diamond"

I can earn 4 diamonds one for each course.  I dropped to my knees tearful and
thanked God, mostly for giving me the opportunity to have stewardship over such
wonderful animals, then for showing me a road I was destine to follow and giving me
the fortitude to do it.  Then I gave Mags lots of Hugs
